Description
This hike, which entirely develops over paved roads, is a tour that can be carried during any season. Starting in the village of Sirór, located in the far north of the bottom of Primiero valley, the loop makes you rise above 1,000 mt. of altitude, thus allowing you to look at the wide sight towards the mountain range of Vette Feltrine, offered by the southern slopes of the peak of Monte Cimerlo.
In the lower parts of the route (below 1,100 mt. of altitude), the track is almost entirely in the forest, while in the highest stretch, which starting from Rifugio Petìna, it crosses remarkable meadows with characteristic mountain huts, ideal for a short break.
The hike begins in the far east of the village of Sirór, by the start of the main access road to Rifugio Petìna. The road to the hut climbs steeply for a few hundred meters, for then turning into a constant slope through the forest, until it reaches the hut. During this uphill stretch, the locations of Fusìne (909 m asl), Spinédoli and Pèrgher are passed in order, just before reaching the three hairpin bends that precede the arrival at the hut of Rifugio Petìna (1,200 m asl).
From Petina, A long series of mid-altitude meadows extending to the location of Pieréni (Val Canali) opens up. The trail continues for a short stretch along the contour, by following the paved road that connects Petìna with Tais, until reaching the crossroads with the road of Ronchéti, marked as Signpost No. 732.
From the meadow where the crossroads are located, a steep descent along the road of Ronchéti begins, leading directly back to Sirór, while crossing the meadows of Pianezze.
